We exist for one purpose, to glorify God in all things (I Cor. 10:31; Is. 42:8). To make the glory of God known in His attributes, words, and works is our highest calling.

We believe that this philosophy, though simple, is sweeping in its application for all of life and ministry. It is our desire and aspiration to be known as a God-glorifying church in the following ways:

God-Centered

As the Creator of all things and Redeemer of His people, God is the essential and central figure in the life of His church. The Giver of all things must receive the appropriate response in all things (Rom. 11:36) from a heart of gratitude, praise, submission, and reverence. Every other focus must be subjugated to the supremacy of God.

Gospel-Focused

To give God that which is due to Him alone, we rely on the constant hope that God has made man both willing and able to approach Him in the service of worship (Rom. 12:1-2) through the Gospel of Jesus Christ (II Cor. 5:20-21). Our enduring hope is the life, death, resurrection, and intercession of the Jesus Christ, Son of God, for the forgiveness of sin, life of the believer, and exaltation by the church (I Cor. 15:1-4; Heb. 7:25).

Word-Driven

Christ, as Head of the Church, mediates His rule by the written Word of God. As such, God’s Word must be proclaimed accurately, boldly, passionately, and consistently. This is best accomplished by the systematic practice of expositional preaching of the whole counsel of God’s Word for all of life. Only in the clear declaration of God’s Word can God truly be known and His glory seen.

Servant-Minded

As an act of worship to God we follow the example of His Son by serving others (Phil. 2:5-8) in the power of the Holy Spirit through the gifts that He has given us. In serving others we demonstrate the love of Christ, value His commands, pursue one another’s best, and grow in our own humility. This promotes the glory of God in the spiritual maturing of His church.
