We are committed to supporting global missions through national pastors and those training national pastors to faithfully serve the local church in their particular context.

Southeast Asia

Dr. E.D. Burns, along with his wife Dao, and sons Elijah and Isaiah, faithfully serve in many capacities in Southeast Asia. Their work includes faithfully supporting their local village church, training national pastors in the region, writing and translating material, and serving the global missions community. Dr. Burns has served on the foreign mission fields in various roles for over three decades and is a widely respected author, professor, and mentor in the world of cross-cultural missions. He is currently the Director of the Master of Arts program in Missions for the newly launched Founders Seminary in Cape Coral, Florida. In addition to his many other responsibilities, Dr. Burns has also recently assumed the role of Vice-President for Training and Curriculum Development at the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE), a long respected missions organization based in Pennsylvania. Dr. Burns is perhaps the world’s leading expert on the life and spirituality of 19th century missionary, Adoniram Judson, having translated all of Judson’s surviving works in Burmese into English for the first time. Colonial Bible Church is grateful to have partnered with Dr. Burns since 2016.

Eastern Europe

Valery and Irina Beza have faithfully served as church planters in the former Soviet nation of Belarus for many years. After graduating from Bible college in his home country Valery entered into pastoral ministry. They have been involved in church plants in rural contexts, as well as in the capital city of Minsk. For over 20 years he has modeled faithfulness and courage as a pastor by his teaching and example to many. As a result of his faithfulness in ministry, the Lord has continued to open doors for him to mentor and pour into others involved in ministry. Valery currently serves as a pastor in the capital city of Minsk, as well as Vice-President for SEE Global, a ministry created to support pastors through training and encouragement. Colonial has been blessed by a partnership with Valery and his family since 2009. Valery and Irina have two adult sons.

Madagascar

Faly Ravoahangy is a teaching pastor at Ankadivato Biblical Baptist Church in Antananarivo. He is also the founder of Madagascar 3M, a ministry endeavoring to identify, train and equip the next generation of church leaders in Madagascar in collaboration with existing structures. The breadth and scope of Faly’s ministry extends to every facet of church life and beyond. He is also engaged in ministries such as publishing Christian resources in the Malagasi language, overseeing a hospital, and caring for orphans around the country. Globally, he is sought after to equip and train men for ministry across the French speaking world in Africa, France, and Canada. Faly was originally trained as a dual-purpose merchant marine officer before being called by the Lord into the ministry. After completing His Master of Divinity at The Master’s Seminary in California. He has also obtained his Doctor of Ministry in Expository preaching at The Master’s Seminary. He and his wife Lily are blessed with 5 children, Daniel, Samuel, Emmanuelle, Gabrielle and Rachel. Colonial Bible Church is thankful to have begun partnering with Faly and his family in 2024 and look forward to many years of Gospel partnership to come, Lord willing.
